Digested Noise

Steven Schreiber
Digested Noise is Linehan’s first solo, created and presented in Seattle in 2004, and presented later that year at Dance Theater Workshop in New York, shortly after he moved there. In Digested Noise, Linehan accompanies his dancing with his own humming, buzzing, growling, squeaking, speaking, and various disembodied sounds. The erratic, unpredictable rhythms of the dance imitate the abrupt, irrationals jump-cuts that occur in human thought as part of daily experience.
